Sweet older Yorkshire Terrier, Bella, was found as a stray wandering the streets before she was brought into Battersea’s care. When she arrived, Bella was very hungry and in poor condition, with matted fur and cloudy eyes.
Our team of veterinary experts examined Bella and sadly found she was blind in both eyes. However, she took her lack of vision in her stride and was very friendly and loved the company of Battersea’s staff.
After receiving the expert care, she needed from Battersea’s Clinic team, which included having her teeth professionally cleaned and a cyst removed from her skin, Bella was ready to find a retirement home where she could rest her weary paws.
Thanks to your support, she now happily enjoys cosy naps on the sofa in her loving new home.
