Cleo arrived at Battersea with quite severe health issues as her owner was no longer able to look after her. Cleo was suffering from severe skin issues and fleas, and our Clinic team knew that they needed to get to work straight away to get her better.
Once she was treated for fleas, which our Clinic team identified as the cause of her skin issues, and medicated to help her skin heal, Cleo began to recover.
Unfortunately, for Cleo, she was also struggling with some gastrointestinal issues that would take longer to solve. The Cattery team ensured that Cleo was on the right diet, and continued to monitor her to make sure that she didn't get worse. While she recovered, Cleo was taken care of by one of our foster carers, who monitored her carefully to make sure that she was healthy.
After a few months in a foster home, while she waited to find a home that could accommodate her particular needs, Cleo was lucky enough to go to a new home with an owner who loves her very much.
