Sensitive German Shepherd, Sheba, arrived at Battersea when her owner sadly passed away. This gentle yet shy senior dog was not fond of new places and noises, and she found the kennel environment quite daunting.
Due to Sheba’s love of human companionship, Battersea’s skilled Behavioural team decided to send her to an experienced foster home where she was able to relax and show off her true personality.
Thanks to the excellent care supporters helped us provide, it wasn’t long before Sheba was ready to find a loving home and we soon found her the perfect new family suited to her needs.
In her new home, Sheba met fellow former Battersea dog, Buddy the Chihuahua, who helped her adjust by showing her the ropes, playing with her, and sharing his space with her, which significantly eased her stress. The loveable pair have since become inseparable, and wherever Buddy goes, Sheba soon follows.
