Nine month old Willow and her four tiny kittens came to Battersea as sadly their owner could no longer afford to care for them.
Willow was quite stressed and protective of her kittens in the cattery environment, and so our feline behaviour experts decided that the little family should be sent to a foster home so that Willow could feel more comfortable.
To begin with, Willow wasn't too sure of her environment, and spent a lot of her time hiding. Once her kittens were old enough, Willow went to a new foster home where she could be the only cat in the house.
After a bit of patience and coaxing, Willow began to show her friendly side, and became quite a playful character, even playing fetch with her foster carer and welcoming visitors when they ring the doorbell. Her second foster carer loved Willow so much that they actually went on to adopt her permanently.
