Meet our Amazin' Ace!

Gorgeous Ace came to Battersea as his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. He was more bonded to female than male carer in his previous home; but here he's been quick to make friends with all staff he meets . Ace showed some overbonding tendencies in his history and onsite, so would do best in a multi-carer household that can share the responsibility of his care, preventing him become overly dependent on one individual.

When Ace arrived onsite, it was clear he’d done some obedience training already. He started performing for his care group, showing off skills that included basics like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’, as well as advanced commands like ‘middle’, ‘wait’, and an attempt at ‘roll over’ - which his carers here have been helping him perfect! His enthusiasm for learning and his eagerness to please suggest a wonderful potential for ongoing training in a structured environment.

Ace is a super affectionate boy who thrives in human company and has reached a pivotal point in his development. He’s looking for owners who can continue teaching him in his forever home. He has shown some varied behaviour around other dogs, including getting a little sexy with one female, so as he learns and grows, he would ideally be the only dog in the household for now.

As a large, strong, and energetic breed still coming into his full potential, Ace will need experienced owners familiar with handling dogs of his size and confident enough to build further on his very solid base of training.
