Meet Barney, our Dutch Shepherd with a Bully body.

Barney came to us a stray from another rescue, so we have no history on him or how he is in home.

We believe him to be a mix with either Malinois or Dutch Shepherd with something else, possibly a bull breed. He has the shepherd drive to work and requires an active home with someone who will engage his brain with plenty of training. He would likely thrive if provided with extra curricular activities, such as agility.

The previous rescue noted that he was a friendly and excitable boy who was eager to please! We have seen the same friendly excitable boy onsite. Barney has been wiggly with everyone he has met and has some good basic training already in place!

Barney likes other dogs but he can also be rude. He has shown that he can offer more appropriate behaviours, so will need careful and constructive ongoing socialisation to better his manners.

He is a lovely boy who is ready for a new start in life. His wiggly and excitable nature is sure to bring his new owners plenty of joy. He would make a great addition to any household lucky enough to have him.
