More about DAISY
Daisy has charming dog with lots of personality, it will take time to bond with her but once you do, she is a firm friend with plenty of Daxie spirit.
Daisy is looking for a home that have experience with Dachshunds, she shows strong breed traits that will need to be understood by her new owners and managed. Dachshunds are a vocal breed which is a natural behaviour for them, Daisy likes to use her voice and can be bold for her size.
She is an affectionate dog but is not looking for rough and tumble play. She prefers to have calm fuss and play time with toys when she feels like rather than hands on play. Due to this Daisy is looking to live in a home without young children.
Daisy has had a lot of change in her life in a short period of time, it will take time for her to adjust to a new home and get into a new routine. Daisy has shown to bark at new people approaching doors or barriers, we have taught her a ‘bed’ cue to settle her when people are entering the home. New owners will need to be patient with Daisy, managing behaviours in a new setting is going to take practice from everyone.
A home with her own private secure garden in a quiet area would be the best match for Daisy, to allow her to have her own space to explore and play away from outside distractions.
Dachshunds are very bright dogs and Daisy is no exception, she loves her food which always helps during training. It will be important that Daisy is provided enough mental and physical stimulation in her new home to tire her out each day.
Due to the high number of enquiries we are receiving, we will only be able to respond if Daisy looks like a good match for your requirements, thank you for your understanding
