More about FREYA

Look at this Beauty, Freya!

Freya is a female Cane Corso mix who came to Battersea via another rescue.

As you can see from her picture, she currently has a cherry eye which she soon will be operated for.

At Battersea, she is known as a sweet-natured girl who adores the attention from her familiar faces. However, she initially displayed some shyness and would bark when she first arrived, but she quickly adjusted after a few hours.

Freya can be a bit anxious around strangers and may bark to alert, but once she gets to know someone and feels at ease, she transforms into an enthusiastic companion, especially when greeting her favourite people!

When it comes to other dogs, Freya is quite the sociable lady. Her previous rescue noted that she didn’t seem to mind the presence of other dogs, although she never went off-lead. Since being with us, she has shown herself to be very friendly and playful, enjoying the company of her canine friends. However, she sometimes forgets her size, which is something to keep in mind during playtime and socialising.

In summary, Freya is looking for a quiet home, away from the inner city, with a private and secure garden, and someone who has experience with guarding breeds or similar. She will need some time and patience to adjust to her new environment and routines, as well as to build strong bonds with her new family. Her new owners should also be prepared to engage in any necessary training to help her thrive. In return, they will welcome an incredible furry friend into their lives!
