Meet Hera!

This gorgeous goddess is a Dutch Herder x Cane Corso. She is 5 months old and came to us as a result of an accidental litter. As she hasn't had the best start to her life she can be underconfident and worried by new places and experiences, but has been growing in confidence with every day. She will need her new owners so continue her socialisation, introducing her to new people, dogs and experiences in a sympathetic way.

Due to her breed mix, we are expecting her to grow into a big girl so potential new owners will need to be prepared to take on a large dog and be proactive in her training, particularly encouraging calm behaviours and loose lead walking to help with handling her when she is fully grown. We would also recommend that anyone who is interested in Hera to have done some research into her breeds and have some understanding of what training they will need.

Hera is looking for a home in a quiet location with her own private garden so she can begin learning about the world in a gradual way. Due to her size and energy levels, she is looking for a home with more than one adult carer to help with her training. She could live with older children who have previous experience around nervous dogs. She could potentially live with other animals. Her new owners will need to have minimal leaving hours to settle her in and continue with her training and socialisation.
