Meet our jolly Jake!

Jake is our young Greyhound boy who came to Battersea through no fault of his own because unfortunately he wasn’t quite cut out to be a racing greyhound.

Whilst being here Jake has been a little stressed with kennel life but really enjoys the company of people. In line with his history, he has been lovely with everyone he has met and likes all the greyhounds we have introduced him to!

He does show typical greyhound behaviour and when around wildlife and some small dogs his instinct to chase does kick in. As a result of Jake having a strong chase drive, as with our typical ex-racing Greyhounds, we are recommending that Jake is kept onlead and muzzled in public so as to be able to best manage these behaviours.

Jake is looking for new owners with some experience with his breed or that are serious and committed to doing their research so they know what they are getting themselves into owning an ex-racing Greyhound.

Jake is an active greyhound that enjoys a good walk so would like new owners able to dedicate the take him out for regular walks but he is an affectionate boy and like he enjoys here would equally be right at home sitting with his people having a cuddle!
