More about JOEY
Joey is a bright and intelligent Husky Cross Pomeranian based at Battersea Old Windsor. He loves to spend time with his favourite people. He can be chatty at times and barks when looking for attention. He is a little sound-sensitive and will need patient owners that can offer him the home and lifestyle he needs.
He is looking for experienced new owners who are familiar with Husky breed traits, and who would like a fun, active dog to do further training with.
Joey has not had much exposure to every day life or dogs in recent years. His new owners will need to give him time to readjust to regular dog life.
Joey enjoys his toys when he is calm and relaxed and loves to gnaw on soft squeaky toys along with rubber toys too. He knows a 'drop' command and would be eager to learn more.
Joey can find other dogs very exciting and he can get frustrated when seeing them, resulting in him barking. Once he has greeted a dog, he is then fairly independent and likes his own space, and needs to live as the only dog at home. Joey's owners will need to be comfortable with continuing his training around dogs when on walks, as this needs to be carried out consistently in order to best help him.
Joey loves attention and is happy to greet new people in a friendly and sociable manner without jumping up. He has sometimes barked at times when first meeting people but remains fluid and excited to see them.
Joey is a fun dog who will happily lay across your lap having fuss and attention. If you would like to know more about him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494 443. If you have not registered for rehoming, please visit battersea.org.uk/rehoming
Thank you.
