Say hello to our lovely Akita girl... Kita!

Kita came to us through no fault of her own as unfortunately her previous owners circumstances changed.

Kita was previously described as excitable in the home with her favourite people, and with another dog whom although she loved, she didn't like to share things with. Outside of the home she was much more worried by unknown people & children.

Here at Battersea Kita has proven to be very true to the breed. She loves her known people, a little more aloof with unknown people though warns up quite quickly. She has shown to be a strong character around dogs, lacking in social skills, however she is learning to adapt and starting to show more playful behaviours.

Kita also has a very playful side, really enjoying her toys and human interaction.

Kita also has a slight sensitive side in new/unknown situations. For this reason she would be best suited to a slighter quieter location, which will also help with fewer distractions while she undertakes training.

Kita is looking for a breed experienced, more mature, pet free home with a garden to burn off energy. As mentioned previously, fairly true to the breed, Kita's recall isn't the best and she has has an interest in chase. However as Akita's go, she's a good example and will be a breeze for previously experienced Akita owners.
