More about KOBI

Kobi enjoys a gentle fuss from people he knows and in his previous home he was a loyal and devoted dog. He can find the world a scary place, so will need patient owners who are willing to take things slowly.

Kobi is located at our Old Windsor Centre. If you are interested in him, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk. or call 01784 494443

He knows a sit, down and paw and is very food motivated taking treats nicely. In his previous home Kobi loved his toys and would carry soft toys around in his mouth. At Old Windsor he hasn’t shown much interest, so new owners will need to give him the time and patience to settle in.

Kobi is a worried dog, especially in new situations, so is looking for new owners that can taking things slowly and introduce him to new people and environments at his pace, gradually building his confidence. He would benefit from living in a quiet area and having a private garden, so he has his own space to potter around away from other dogs and people. Once Kobi has settled into a routine, he will need his time alone built up gradually.

Kobi can be worried around new dogs and independent, so would benefit from walking with some calm dog friends. When he’s gently introduced to other dogs, he can be happy to walk alongside them, but he doesn't particularly enjoy being around dogs.

Kobi will need gentle introductions to new people and would not cope with meeting too many to begin with, and needs to be able to approach them in his time. Once he has met and feels confident, he can build a bond quickly.

New owners will need to support him in clinical situations such as visiting the vet as he is very worried. He would benefit from a few social trips to build up a positive association and build his confidence.

Kobi will be a rewarding companion once he has had the time to let his personality shine through.
