Say hello to the sweetest scruffy boy Kody!

Believed to be a Spaniel cross Schnauzer, this handsome chap is a ball of energy with a eagerness to learn and play all day. He does however have a more sensitive side which sometimes is shown when meeting new people or experiencing new environments and sounds.

Kody has been a very lovely boy during his time here at Battersea, but has really struggled at times with kennel life, He is eagerly awaiting his new home which will hopefully be patient with him, and settle him back into home and routine where he can flourish. During his time both with us and in his previous home, Kody did show some reactivity around other dogs, as well as some over the top play around other dogs. It is clear he is a little under-socialised and so will need ongoing training and management in this area to help build on his social skills and manners.

This young boy is looking for a new family who have some experience with energetic, young dogs previously who can show willingness to continue on his training and socialisation. His new home would ideally be away from any busy inner cities due to the worry he has previously shown around traffic and he will need his own private garden. He could live with sensible older teens who can be aware of his body language and give him the space he needs when demonstrating he is uncomfortable. Kody would prefer to be the only animal in the household, but would benefit from a regular steady walking buddy to help build his confidence and work on his manners around other dogs.
