More about LEIA

Leia has shown some reactive and worried behaviours around new people and other dogs. Due to this she is looking to be the only pet in the household and for an adult only home. While she has been making great progress with her training here at Battersea Old Windsor, she is a project dog who will require experienced owners who have dealt with these behaviours before.

While Leia settles and builds bonds she will require a hands off approach, she has a worried disposition and will move away when uncomfortable, she gives clear signals and once she decides she feels comfortable will become quite playful and enjoy a fuss.

Due to Leia’s worry, she requires a private and secure garden to help her bond with new owners and build her confidence. Leia loves tennis balls and soft toys. She likes chasing them round the paddock and has been known to become playful with her bonded handlers.

Once she is bonded with you, Leia is a friendly and excitable girl who loves interacting with people she knows. Treats and time are the best way of making friends with Leia. She already knows a sit, down, paw and she happily does this when bonding with her handlers.
