Meet Mila, our delightful Shar-Pei lady!

Mila came to Battersea through no fault of her own, and we are so grateful to have her with us.

She has a wonderful background and displays a calm demeanour paired with a gentle spirit. Mila can be typical of her breed and be independent and aloof. Despite this, Mila has made friends with everyone she meets and enjoys the company of people. From her previous home, Mila has a great history around meeting unknown children.

Mila is friendly and kind to the dogs she encounters here. She’s a sociable girl, though she does enjoy her independence. She has been socialised with a range of friendly and calm dogs here and she has shown to be friendly and independent back. When socialised with a more interactive bouncy Golden Retriever, she was diffusey playful back, but this was more so to get herself out of the situation where she'd play bow to bounce away. Afterwards she had a nice calm walk with him.
There was a moment when she felt uneasy with a dog that got too much, leading her to a tell off, but she relaxed again quickly. She has a good history with other dogs and has shown patience even when faced with other dogs barking at her and has even tried to play!

Mila is seeking a home where her new owners don’t need extensive experience with dogs, although it would be helpful to learn about the Shar-Pei breed and their unique traits. This lovely lady is looking for a relaxed environment where she can soak up all the love she deserves. Any home would be fortunate to welcome Mila into theirs!
