More about ROCCO
Meet our lovely Rocco!
Sweet Rocco came to us through no fault of his own. He came in with another juvenile female Kokoni, who he was split from on arrival. They used to get on very well together, would play nicely and he would be very tolerant of her more boisterous nature. He also has a glowing history from his previous home, being a lovely and affectionate lad with everyone he would meet as well as a playful boy with all dogs!
With us, we have seen the same cuddly and affectionate lad who enjoys fusses and craves attention! He can be a little vocal for attention in kennel sometimes, but does settle nicely when it's quiet. On his first day, he did show a bit of a worried side with new people and handling, however, has really come out of his shell since. As his history suggests, he has some lovely, juvenile social skills with other dogs, being a playful lad. He could potentially live with another role model dog who is playful and tolerant of his juvenile nature, as well as someone who will be able to teach him some nice social skills and take natural breaks.
Rocco could go to first time owners who will be patient with him while he makes friends and will be able to provide him with the time and care a young boy like him requires. New owners should have realistic expectations when it comes to taking on a puppy, being committed to all the required attention, training and socialisation that comes with it whilst the puppy adjust to life in their new home.
We would advise that Rocco attend puppy socialisation classes with his new owners, to help shape him into a well-rounded adult. He is sure to be the cuddliest and loveliest boy in any home lucky enough to have him!
