More about SCOOBY

Scooby is a loving and exuberant Greyhound at Battersea Old Windsor, with a zest for life. His favourite things include snoozing in cosy spots, exploring the great outdoors and chasing his toys - he’s got a knack for tossing them in the air. This affectionate dog is a people-loving sweetheart who greets everyone with a wagging tail and plenty of enthusiasm. He’s known to lean in for fuss when he wants some attention.

Scooby was very stressed when he first arrived at Battersea Old Windsor and he would pant and pace in circles and find it hard to settle. As time has gone on, he has settled a lot but does still pace in circles if he is stressed or anticipating something, eg a meal.

As Scooby hasn’t lived in a home before, he’s looking for patient new owners who can help him settle at his own pace as he won’t know what is expected of him. Whilst he has learnt the basics of house training, he may need a few reminders. He can find new environments a little overwhelming at first, but with love and consistency we are sure he will flourish.

Scooby would prefer to be the only dog in his new home, as he’s shown some mixed reactions to other dogs. He would like some calm Sighthound buddies to walk with though. This clever lad is very food motivated which will help make training fun and rewarding. He cannot resist the smell of something tasty, so food in the house will need to be kept safely out of reach.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion to brighten your days, Scooby might just be the dog for you. He’s ready to bring plenty of joy and laughter to his new family. To find out more please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494 443.
