Say hello to our Super Star Shar pei Star!

Star came to us through no fault of her own her previous owners felt they could no longer provide all the care Star needed after she developed a skin condition and unfortunately she wasn't responding to the treatment.

She has a lovely history in her previous home being good with all known people children and dogs. She let her previous owner know if an unknown person came to the door but warmed up quickly once they were invited in.

When Star first came to Battersea she was quite worried and uncomfortable, but as we get to know her and her skin condition improves her hidden temperament is slowly being revealed.

She has been in a foster home with 6 other dogs and absolutely loves her foster siblings. We feel she will need a dog friend in her new home.

Her new owners should have some experience, knowledge or be prepared to do research into the Shar pei breed so they can get a better understanding of Star's, exercise, training and behavioural needs.

Star would benefit from training around medical handling to help desensitise her to vet visits in the future and a group of social doggy friends to spend time with.

Stars skin condition continues to improve every day, she is growing in confidence and will soon truly shine. Don't miss out on this rare shooting Star because once her new forever family take her home they will see how much light and love this Star can really bring to their lives.
