More about UNO
Uno is a delightful dog who is looking for owners that can help her build her confidence and offer her slow and gentle exposure to new environments. She is based at our Old Windsor centre, if you are interested in Uno, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk.
She adores people and shows this by approaching everyone she meets with a big wiggle of her body and a wagging tail. Uno can be very worried by new places and going through doorways and into environments she has not experienced before. She will need lots of time and patience to help her gain confidence in different areas. Once she is bonded with you, she also has a bouncy and excitable side and loves games with toys.
Due to her worry, Uno is looking to live in a home with a private and secure garden and in a location away from very built-up areas and busy roads. She absolutely loves treats and toys, making food rewards and playful toys sessions a great way to build a strong bond with her and help her feel comfortable in new environments.
Uno has been social around other dogs during her stay, but she can be known to be very playful and exuberant with her interactions. Due to this we feel it is best for Uno to be the only dog in the household but will benefit from having regular walking buddies and play dates with other dogs that will match her playstyle.
New owners will also need to speak to a Battersea vet before rehoming her. Uno will not be able to go on very long walks or take part in very athletic activities but she is clever and likes to be kept busy. She’ll need plenty of fun brain activities at home in order to keep her happy, these could include scent training, food puzzles, search games – the more creative the better.
If you are interested in rehoming her, please email bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk or call 01784 494443.
