Employee engagement is becoming increasingly popular and important; employees expect their employers to support charities and provide opportunities for them to get involved.

At Battersea, we can offer corporates fundraising and volunteering activities. Some examples of how employees can get involved include:

  • Take part in Challenge Events, such as hikes, runs and cycles
  • Fundraise in the office via quizzes, raffles and bake sales
  • Volunteer as part of the cheer squad or as a marshal at an event
  • Take part in on-site volunteering

VOLUNTEERING

At Battersea we welcome groups of corporate volunteers from a range of businesses such as Clear Score, Julius Baer and EY, to support the Battersea team on site. Opportunities include cleaning our indoor and outdoor areas, gardening and creating stimulating enrichment opportunities for our animals, and painting and decorating.

All the activities our volunteers do create clean, safe and enriching environments for the dogs and cats in our care and allow our experts to dedicate their time to directly caring for our animals. Volunteering days also provide great team building days out for teams and give them the chance to learn more about Battersea.

Rosewood

Cat shaped cupcakesRosewood, one of our partners, recently supported Battersea by fundraising at work in line with our Wear Blue for Rescue campaign. Everyone got into the spirit by wearing blue and bringing in delicious cakes for a bake sale, including some creative dog and cat cupcakes!
