We got Albie when I was 6.

From the moment he came home, he protected me all the time like I was his kitten. As I got older and started competitive swimming, every day when I came home from practice it was almost like he could tell how exhausted I was so he would sit down and groom my hair in his own special effort to help me.

I'll be turning 16 next year and it breaks my heart that he can't turn 10 with me.

I miss him a lot.
