Two-year-old Bella was gifted to Battersea as her previous family were no longer able to look after her. Read how Battersea aided her road to recovery below.
During checks with our expert clinic team, an ultrasound revealed that she had an acute inflammation in her bowel and would need a special diet, medication, and regular scans of her abdomen to monitor her condition.
Unfortunately, brave Bella took a turn for the worse as she developed a fever and was unable to eat or drink. Battersea’s clinic team provided her with emergency IV fluids and antibiotics and soon Bella was able to eat comfortably again, gained a healthy amount of weight and was ready to be rehomed.
Bella quickly found her new loving family who were able to give her the care she needs. She can now be found lounging on the sofa, ready for a cuddle and a fuss which she loves!
