Sweet Parsnip the French bulldog arrived at Battersea as a stray in need of love and care. Read about how Battersea gave her the chance of a new life below.
An examination by Battersea’s clinic revealed that she may have been used for breeding. This sweet dog was quickly sent to a foster home as she was very nervous in a kennel environment. Parsnip was clearly used to being in a home, and she thrived with her foster carer's support. While on foster, Parsnip visited our vet team to receive treatment for ear and eye conditions common with her breed.
Like many flat faced breeds, French bulldogs often need surgery to improve their breathing and widen their airways. Parsnip received this surgery, along with a routine spay and removal of a small mass. The procedures went smoothly, and our clinic team kept a close eye on her recovery, ensuring that she was ready for rehoming.
Parsnip was rehomed to a loving new family who understood her health and care needs and were excited to welcome home this bundle of love. Parsnip is now happily settled into her new home, continuing to enjoy the love and comfort she deserves.
