Three-year-old Lurcher Rory arrived at Battersea’s Old Windsor Centre due to an unfortunate change in his previous owner’s circumstances.
He soon showed off his charming personality to Battersea staff and was friendly and affectionate with his carers and sociable with other dogs.
Yet Rory found being in kennels challenging. As an intelligent dog with a high play drive, he needed plenty of enrichment in the form of puzzle toys, along with exercise and interaction with people to keep him occupied.
Rory was worried and uncomfortable when it came to putting on a harness to go for his much-loved walks, so the otherwise confident young dog underwent some training with Battersea’s skilled behaviourists and soon his newfound bravery shone through.
Rory has now found a loving new home and has settled in brilliantly with his adoring new family.
