Loveable greyhounds Arnie and Cassie arrived at Battersea separately, but they soon became firm friends and built a special bond through going out on walks together and their shared love of tennis balls. The adorable duo became inseparable, even spending some time together in a Battersea foster home.
Battersea staff could see that when Arnie and Cassie were together, they were able to grow in confidence and became more affectionate. The pair were placed on a tailored training plan to set them up for success. The training included learning recall commands, house-training and positive association.
Thanks to their training, soon their unique personalities shone through. Cassie was the more vocal of the duo and she always liked to know what the humans closest to her were getting up to. Whereas Arnie preferred a more relaxed approach; having a nice long snooze was top of his daily to do list, followed by cuddles.
Finding a home for Arnie and Cassie took a little longer than for many dogs, as the devoted pair needed a home together. After almost five months in Battersea's care, Arnie and Cassie were happily rehomed and are now continuing their love story in scenic Suffolk with their new family.
