Howard's Story

24 Mar 2025

Howard came to Battersea as a stray after being found in pain, with an injury to his neck, by some concerned members of the public. Battersea vets suspected that poor Howard had been in a fight and been bitten by another cat, causing an abscess to form on his cheek and neck.

Battersea vets immediately set to work cleaning Howard’s wound and administering antibiotics to ward off infection. Despite being in pain with his injury, Howard instantly proved himself to be a loving, affectionate cat, as all he wanted to do was settle on a comfy lap and enjoy lots of head and chin rubs.

After receiving further treatment from Battersea's skilled clinic team for his neck wound, Howard was ready to find a new home. He soon charmed his new owner and is now living his best life in South London, where he is affectionately known as the “fluff monster.”
