Tux came to Battersea when his owner sadly passed away. The thirteen-year-old cat had originally been rehomed as a kitten from Battersea’s Old Windsor branch and had spent his days as a much-loved family pet since then.
Tux soon showed off his loving personality to his Battersea carers, greeting people with a purr and chatting away in his inimitable meow. He loved getting attention so much that he would politely give a tap with his paw for more fuss. He also loved to curl up on a lap or snuggle up on the sofa. Despite his advanced age, Tux was still as playful as a kitten with his favourite ping pong balls.
Tux was a little cautious around loud noise and the hustle and bustle of the Battersea Cattery, so he spent some time in a foster home to help him relax.
Tux saw many other cats come and go and get rehomed before him, but after 207 days in Battersea's care, Tux at last found a home to retire to in Surrey, where he is enjoying being pampered.
